Update- pt advocacy- was I out fo line

by LDRN697

First of all I appreciate everyone who replied to my post. I really find myself seeking support from other nurses on this issue and your support means so much. The pt delivered of course febrile, tachy, and deceling all the way but the baby was okay. CBC looked like sh*t and baby went on antibiotics but the kid was otherwise fine. I am finding alot support from my co-workers, nurse manager, CNO, and even the other docs in the practice. Forget lawsuits and liability and so on. For me I could never have lived with myself if that pt went home and her baby had died. I did what I thought was best for both my patients- mom and baby.
thanks again,
LDRN697
