Well, I guess it will take her baby getting it's head bashed in or put in the microwave before she can see that this boyfriend doesn't care about her or the baby..he only cares about controlling someone.

There are a lot of dynamics in an abusive relationship and while I'd certainly rather anyone leave an abuser than stay with him/her, it's not as easy as it sounds. Those who've never been there are really blessed.

Domestic Violence is a complicated issue. With DHS involvement hopefully the baby got to safety until the situation gets sorted out. DHS will force this woman to choose between her infant or her man. Even though its tough to understand it is her choice.

"I was looking to read where she endangeered her baby"

In my book bringing baby home to someone that likes to beat things smaller and weaker than itself constitutes endangerment.

Of course nobody will actually do anything about it until the baby ends up a vegetable dt shaken baby syndrome or in pieces on an operating table because how dare we judge. We all need to be understanding and compassionate because the mother can't help but put her baby in that situation. I mean its not like she has any other choice.

Sadly the one person that truly has no choice in the matter, an innocent child, will be the one to suffer for our lack of action in the name of compassion and understanding.

Here's to hoping the OP's DJFS is a heck of a lot more proactive then the joke we have here.
