Did any of you L&D nurses start out in med-surg??? If so, was the transition difficult to do??

I did one year on a small med surg floor before L&D. I felt it help me get over that new nurse on the floor anxiety. there is so much to learn esp in L&D, to just get basic skills, such as time managment and IV skills helps out alot.. I recommend it but others may not..
