Has anyone taken the RNC-ob certification recently. How was the exam and what areas should I study mostly or how can I be well prepared.

There are LOT of books/study guides out there that can help you (more than when I studied even). No one here can really tell you WHAT areas to study; your knowledge is required to be broad for a reason. You don't carry certification without it. (Broad knowledge)

The one I used is this one:

Thank you so much, I will buy the book. Did you or anyone ever attend the review seminar, if yes was it worth it or helpful??

I happened to just stumble upon this. I have about 2.5 years of L&D experience and I am thinking about taking the exam and am currently looking for good study literature.

I am supposed to be taking the exam in a week, but I have not studied much and am afraid I will fail. I will be attending the seminar though that is why I was wondering if attending the seminar would really help or should I just move my exam date?

I used the Mometrix study guide to take the practice tests, then studied the areas I was weaker in. Good luck.

I took the ProEd Center review with Sharon Hall and it was AMAZING! I just want to follow her around for the rest of my career. Her stories are just incredible. Study neonatal circulatory changes at birth/assessment, the pathophysiology of diseases in pregnancy like PIH, common medications and especially contraindications for giving it. It's not a straightforward exam at all, you really have to read into the questions to figure out what they're asking which is why Sharon's class is so great bc she tells you what they're looking for. Good luck!!!
