I am a L&D nurse, considering finding a pt job in a private office. What is your hourly wage and where do you live?

Thank you!

I can say that I took a $6/HR pay cut when I went from L&d to an ob gyn office in Wisconsin.

I did not take a pay cut to go to clinic nursing - the clinic is part of a larger hospital facility network, and they pay all their nurses the same, regardless of whether they're inpatient or outpatient. In fact, because I went from a 36-hour to a 40-hour work week, my pay checks increased.

I make $6 less per hour in clinic than I do at the hospital.

But, as you know, at the clinic I will never be working evenings, overnights, holidays, weekends.... I can go days or weeks without ever having face to face time with a patient in the clinic. (Mainly phone triage). I don't think I could do that job full-time. But some nurses really like it.

In Atlanta L&D base pay was $27.10 before diffs and private OB/GYN office I'm at $25. yes GA is a low paying state but with lower cost of living. And after my first week I knew that $2.10/hr was not worth weekends with my family

I was paid 26/h when i started at an OBGYN office.
