Post partum c/s get the PCA but we are trying to change that. They don't get great pain control and there is a high incidence of nausea/vomiting. IV Toradol and Percocet is what we find works best and keeps the patient more controlled. I have asked for a PCA for some demises when they are against the epidural and it has had nice success.

I am wondering if you are asking about Personal Care Aides (PCA)?

Hi ksow,

I've worked as a scrub tech/pca in OB in the Cincinnati area for the last 8 years. As far as I know, all the hospitals in the area utilize PCA's in some way or another on their units. Do you have specific questions about the job?
