Laci in labor? - page 2

This might be a morbid question, but one that interests me. If Laci Peterson was killed while she was in labor, labor would stop would'nt it? Or would she deliver the baby post mortem? Or was she... Read More

Yes, it would be horrible. But more often than not, the person/people who are supposed to love and cherish the victim are the ones who harm them.

i don't believe he is innocent. i read someplace the police had gathered some evidence against him long prior to finding the bodies. reminds me of the case of that sick chick who drowned her two boys and then "begged for their safe return". i just think he is GUILTY AS SIN. too sad. for her family.....for her and her baby.

Can you believe his excuse he gave when asked why he had changed his apperance? He said the chlorine in his pool turned his hair blonde! Yea Right! I can't believe even after being caught, he still can not bring himself to stand up and be a man and admitt what he has done!!

NONONONONONO!!!! Didn't you see the statement she made to the press after all this came out about her? The dog didn't tell her he was married...she had NO idea that he was anything but honest with her. And with absolute regret and genuine tears, she expressed a heartfelt sympathy toward the Rocha family, her own goodwill and wishes toward a successful and happy outcome for Laci and the baby (which we know now was not the case) and requested privacy for herself and her son so that they could move on with their own lives. The blame here lies with Scott. Perhaps the young lady had her suspicions; but any young woman who has ever had high hopes for a relationship will tell you that love is indeed blind and that such suspicions tend to be overlooked (or well put away by a skillfully manipulative man) because she is thinking with her heart instead of with her head. I agree fully with the whole "what goes around comes around tenfold" theory, as I preach it myself...but it's the willfulness of the action that makes the difference. For crying out loud, don't judge the woman when you don't have the full story...or if there's even any doubt about it. Don't take any responsibility off the shoulders of the man who betrayed his entire family (allegedly, I grant you) by first carrying on an affair behind the back of his wife and then by killing both wife and child.

The greatest gift a man can give his children is to love their mother. This is so heinous it goes beyond description. Obviously the young mistress fell victim to this man as well. Don't crucify her.

I feel badly for her--saw the interview where she told her story. Visably upset and sympathetic to the Rocha family. However, I do believe the media, especially the tabloids, will drag her through the mud. They are bottom feeders and don't care what the facts are.

I could swear I "saw" on MSNBC (had the TV muted, was reading the closed captioning)...that Scott Peterson had a girlfriend in college murdered and it is still unsolved...makes me hope they revisit his past.

I feel horrible for the families. They will suffer tremendous pain the rest of their lives. I would be physically ill for years if that happened to my dtr.

If you go to www.lacipeterson.com , you can read a sort of story-like compilation of ALL information gathered from the time that they met in college to the latest updates on the case. I spent about two hours, just out of curiosity, reading everything on that site. I guess I just couldn't comprehend such a horrible, unnecessary crime. I agree that the visual/mental images of a "coffin birth" are so gruesome that...well, it's beyond words. I still think it's miraculous that both bodies were recovered within a 24 hour period of each other, and only 1 mile apart. Miraculous. Really- think about the liklihood of that happening. Unbelievable.

According to the family web site and articles they referenced, the husband told the massage therapist that his wife had been dead for a year (that he was a widow), and that he had a job that he traveled for, sometimes up to 30 days at a time. He told her he couldn't see her during the Christmas holidays because he was traveling to Paris (said this so he could spend the holidays with the family without anyone getting suspicious, I guess). Supposedly, the massage therapist had no idea that he was married and was completely shocked when she found out via news coverage and a phone call from him that he was who he actually was, and not who he told her he was.

The murder I think you're confusing with this guy is another young girl who attended the same college during the same time period as the two of them did (Laci and her husband). I also visited her web site (they link to it from the Peterson site) and her mother has written an 'online book' about the case. That one was never solved, the body was never found, but apparantly they sort of knew who did it (another boy entirely) but could never find hard evidence to prove it so the case was closed. Now that one upset me, too, because the both of these girls are the same age as I am, and on this second web site, the mom has the video of the girl that they showed at her funeral. Very, very moving.

It's all just so sad. I hope that somehow justice is served upon this man, whether it's in the hands of the court, other prisoners in jail with him, or God, or all three.

My husband and I were talking about this today, and you know, for all we know, she could have been killed accidentally. Say, he told her or she found out about the affair. They were fighting, he hit her, whatever. She died, he panicked. At that moment, even if he hadn't meant to kill her, he still stood a chance legally. If he'd only called 911 or something, they'd have a tape that could be used in court. He didn't, however, he chose to wrap her body up and sink it in the Bay. This is a completely unstable man. I do not understand it, and I kept thinking, when this first happened, gosh, look at his picture...he looks so clean-cut and nice. Then I saw pictures of him at the vigil they held for her in January and he was laughing and smiling, and I thought, OMG, this man is so guilty it's not even funny.

I also feel horrible for the families. His parents, her family, her friends...and the fact that she wasn't whole, combined with this horrific crime and all of the news coverage...it's almost too much to handle. I hope that, for once, the media respects these people's privacy, even a little.

There is no way the media will respect the families and let them grieve in private. This crime is so unbelievable if he is guilty I hope he confesses & spare the families (both Laci's & his) further pain of a long media circus trial. (remember OJ).

I still remember the day when he jumped off the bridge...I think it was the Tobin Bridge if I remember correctly.

That was so sad. That little boy survived for a few days after the shooting/his birth.

It makes you wonder what the heck people are thinking.

The stripper who had the affair with Scott alleges that he never told her he was married and guess she passed a lie detector test to that end. If she truly didn't know, then it is sad and awful that she would feel horrible. Can you imagine the guilt? I heard one of our pathologists mention that the gas of decomposition as well as all the other things involved could and probably did expel the baby....They are in heaven now......And Scott will not ever get anywhere near them ever again as the only place he will be going, is hell......
