Labor and delivery

I am looking into becoming a labor and delivery nurse. Right now I am writing a research paper on becoming a labor an delivery nurse but I am finding it hard to find information. I need things like what they do, how much school they had to go through, how they get to be a labor and delivery nurse, etc. Any information would help me out a ton so if anyone has and info please help me!!
