You definitely have common sense from your previous experiences some of the best labor and delivery nurses I know came from other back grounds. I did L&d first then tried to do med/surg and it was a nightmare needless to say I came back to L&D. Give it a shot You might really love it.BORI-BSNRN likes this.

It is very different from other areas - remember that you are treating 2 patients almost all the time - one of whom you cannot see! You really need a good preceptorship and training both for protection of your patients and of your license.Hello,

You bet that was the very first question that I asked if they have a training program and they told me that they will give me an extensive training AND THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO HELP ME EVEN THE SUPERVISOR and answer all my q's. I am very anxious and so happy at the same time. Thanks for your kind words :heartbeatI would only take it if they have a good, extensive, formal training program for you.
