How to get an L&D grad program in San Diego

Ok, so I am a BSN student and I want to work in L&D or some related area. This is my list of what I need to do by graduation to give myself the best possible shot at a job. Please let me know if there is anything else you would ad or remove to my list:
1. Get a job in an L&D unit as a secretary, tech, NA (I have been trying this one for a while, no luck yet).
2. Volunteer for a midwife, L&D unit, PP or any other related service.
3. Become a certified Doula
4. Get certified in ACLS, NRP, Basic Fetal monitoring and take some STABLE courses.
5. Network with everyone you can to get known by nurse managers of L&D units
6. Complete your preceptorship in an L&D unit.
7. Join AWHONN

thanks
