    I currently have Basic Fetal Heart Monitoring.

    JW how do I get Advanced? Do I have to first be Intermediate? Do I need so many years of experience with L&D to get to Intermediate and Advanced?

    I have about a little over 1 year.

    Where can I get it done?

    The AWHONN intermediate course is perfect for you being a year in. The advanced course they offer does not require the intermediate course first, but is recommended. You can go to their site and look at who is offering it in your area. Check with your facility, they may already have an instructor.

    Professional Education Center and Michelle Murray offer advanced courses as well as another company whose name escapes me at the moment. All are excellent.

    I have taken all the AWHONN fetal motoring courses. They were great. You can go to the AWHONN website and search for courses in your area. Having taken Intermediate and Advanced, I would highly recommend taking both. The book used for the course is a great book. I would definitely purchase your own if you plan to take the certification exam.
