30 and no babies w/ no plans for babies either. My jusband already has a vesectomy. We love the freedom, the money, our close relationships w/ our friends and family.

We've never missed having kids and every time we see parents dealing w/ some little terror out in public we just smile and think "Whew...smart choice!"

Personally I think as far as the number of kids go, you should replace yourselves but no more. Overpopulation and dwindling resources is going to make the future an ugly, uncomfortable existence for today's kids and grandkids.

Meanwhile...we just bought a vacation home and we have no financial worries AT ALL. It's nice.

Now I'm 33, dh is 37 both have BS degrees and bringing home 6 figures. We have nice newer vehicles, (no car payments though), a beautiful home, jobs we love, lots of time with our family. Just because someone has children, doesn't mean they have financial worries.

Dh had a vasectomy 7 years ago, and now we're wishing he hadn't. We love children and now would like to have more. Adoption may be in our future. I can't imagine what my life would be like without children. Children bring so much joy to our lives. We have "things" AND a wonderful family.

When we see parents dealing c some little "terror out in public" we think, "Whew...we're glad our children aren't like that". Not all children are "terrors in public". And we feel like we've done very well with raising our children as well-rounded and good manners.
