Most hospitals will hire an Associates educated nurse for most positions. Some ads I've seen have BSN preferred, but it doesn't really mean a whole lot.

I am an AAS and had no problem working in L&D.

Not a problem at all, we have a couple of BSNs but mostly it's ADNs that I work with.

I just graduated from an AAS program and had no problems with employers as to the AAS or BSN prepared RN. My only word of advice is to network and apply early (like late feb or march if you grad in may), as these positions go fast. I applied late (in April) and didn't get the hospital I wanted, but will start in L&D at a different hospital. Good luck to you!
