LUCKLY, I work three 12 hour shifts at mount sinai friday,saturday and sunday overnight so the only days that are stresful are monday morningsand friday evenings( no sleep )
it will be the hardest thing you have ever done, BUT IT IS DO-ABLE!
keep the questions coming i dont mind....

so those that mean u had a class a day, and a clinical....
Ex: Mon = Fundamentals
Tues= Dosage calc
Wed= AP1 / clinical....and so on
so a school day is from like 9-5?

if you are starting in september i am only one semester ahead of you..med/surg starts 2nd semester..med/surg is the meat and patatoes of nursing school..in fundamentals you learn the basics(vital sighns patient assesment, medication adminitration, iv,foley,enema, bedmaking and some pathophsiology) med/surg is broken into two semesters its basiclly A&P for all the disease processes and interventions..its hard because its everything medical.... i graduate 09

i took A&P I if the same doctor teaches it to teach you, you will do fine(no really it was a breeze, 100 times less than C.U.N.Y A&P) uniform only at clinical.. and financial aid happens when you start...lol there were a few of us who didnt get our loans until a week before semester end< but the school really didnt mind much...

hey, i just stumbled upon this site and found this thread to be very useful especially Stiltarget's posts! I could barely find any information on SVCMC's queens nursing program anywhere other than the svcmc web site and was afraid the program was not legit. But after reading this thread i'm more confident about entering the evening program in January 2009.

I wanted to ask if any of you had any advice about job opportunities I could look into since I don't start all the way til January 2009 evening program. I am a recent college graduate w/ a B.S. in Health Science (Public Health) and am eager to earn some steady cash flow... $$ lol...
