Hi. I just put all my application stuff in the mail today, Aug 11. I had an appointment with a lady in Pleasantville and she said they begin evaluating applications in the beginning of September and, if your file is complete, should only take a few weeks. But it sounds like you'll still need your GRE scores, right?

I had great grades in undergrad, actually graduated Summa cum Laude (from Pace, no less)..., but my GRE's were not good. Only got a 980 total, but I"m taking them again in August. How about you?

... and I noticed a few people reference "minimum GRE" and "minimum GPA"... the reality is that there is no minimum... There are scores they like to see and use as a guide for people who ask. They even said to apply if you don't have that "minimum" 3.0 undergraduate GPA. They also publish that you need C's in the prerequisites and the reality is that they really want B's. I took A&P I and II over the summer and got C+'s in both, but had virtually A's in every other class I ever took, graduated with a 3.9 undergrad. So, we will see!

Hi Stacy- I just applied today, Aug 11, and I've got my fingers crossed, too! When they receive my app in a few days they should have everything they need with the exception of one letter of recommendation, which they should have in about a week. Also I have to take the GRE's again because I really tanked!

Maybe we'll both get in and we can get to know each other!

Let me know when you hear something and I'll do the same, ok?

I will definitely be letting everyone know what's up as soon as I hear.

I'm SOOO glad the GRE is done with (for me), so now I just have to hope for the best.

Good luck to everyone!!!!

oh, really? That is exactly what I heard. I met with a lady there and she said they begin reviewing applications the first week in September and send letters out immediately from then.

Did they say anything about the number of applications they've been getting in?

I'm so nervous about my NASTY GRE scores it isn't funny. So many people talk about their scores on this site and everybody says their scores are in the high 600's. Honestly I think people are lying. The reality is that I don't know if I've heard of too many people not getting in there... have you?

I got my undergrad at Pace and walked on water when I went there. President of National Honor Society, Highest GPA in BBA Marketing Major..., blah blah blah. And a Pace prof wrote one of my recommendations. I'm hoping that will carry some weight and my GRE's carry NONE! ... and the fact that I got C+'s in A&P I and II also carry NONE!

But I dunno!

Keep me posted and I'll do the same.

Hello I just registered for this website and has found this site very useful. I am currently applying for the Pace CDP Program for Spring 2010 and was wondering if I have a chance with a 2.7 GPA and a 3.3 GPA in my prereqs...I will be taking the MAT exam and gathering all my data...

Dear Lucky,

I don't have a good gauge myself. I went to the open house they had in April and they said they like a 3.0 in undergrad, 1000 in GRE's and B's in prerequisites, but none of those things are hard and fast rules. I remember him saying that if you don't have the 3.0, they'll look more carefully at your prerequisite classes and science classes you took in undergraduate school. I have a 3.95 in my undergrad (business) degree, from Pace, but barely broke 1000 on my GRE's and got C+'s in A&P I and A&P II, both. So I'm naturally pretty worried. Pace is my first choice, but I applied to CNR and also bunch of A.A.S. programs just to be on the safe side.

Let me know what you hear and how you make out.

Ugh! I'm preparing for my GRE now. My uncle did the accelerated at Pace but he didn't have to take the GRE, I'm assuming because he did the part time 2 year version of it.

you still need the GRE for the 2 year program at Pace. Maybe he took it years ago before they required it. The reason they require the GRE is because they offer Grad courses too.
