    Hi Olivia! I am very interested in going to Hopfer for the Fall 2009 semester. I already applied, I am awaiting for the test date to take the entrance exam. I am looking for some insight (I see that you provide alot of great information) on admissions to this school. I know the admission is solely based on this test. On a scale from 1 to 10, how challenging would you rate the test. I am shooting to get into the 90th percentile being that my gpa is not really high up there. I mean i do meet the requirements, its just I am willing to put my all into the test so that it will be an easy ride to get into the school. I have most of the pre-reqs done as well. Do you think that is an advantage? Thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated. Alsom if you have any more information that would help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You

    Admission is not just based on the test. They do take the gpa into account. Getting in the 90th percentile will not hurt your chances though!

    The exam, in my opinion, is about a 5. The math was easy, basic computation and beginning algebra. The science was a bit more difficult, but not information you have not seen before if you took any hs or college biology course. I used the barrons nursing entrance exam book to prepare (that was in 2006) and it was a good review for me before the exam. Having the pre reqs done is an advantage, especially applying to the day program. You should call the admissions counselor, Ms Farrior at the school and also ask her the same questions you asked me, letting her know how enthusiastic you are about entering the school. It is a small school, and she will remember you if you show that interest.

    thank you soo much for the advice! I will most definitely call the counselor! And I am glad you mentioned the book to me because I bought the book that school said to buy and I have already went through the book already. Again, thank you!

    What do you mean science part of the exam??? i thought Hopfer uses the NET and it's only math and english

    I took 3 entrance exams and distinctly remember having a science part on my entrance exam. I was shocked as well!! That was three years ago and things probably have changed since then. Please confirm current testing procedures with the admissions office. Remember, the NET has different parts and may be different at some schools. I took 3 different entrance exams, 2 by the NET.

    So, i just took got my results for net exam. My composite score is 82 percentile and i am at the instructional level.. does anyone know if that is a good enough grade to get into the school? Thank yOU

    Hi Alsingh... I'm new here and just searched the boards for Hopfer and saw your post. I also applied there for the Fall semester, and just took the NET there 2 days ago. Have you heard yet if you were accepted?

    Hey Futurenurese...

    Hopfer is holding an open house Thursday, June 11 at 1pm & 6:30pm. I went to one a few weeks ago, very informative.
