Did anyone Get accepted to Brooklyn Adult learning Center for FALL 2008?Mid Manhattan

Was that in the first few months? I am wondering like what was the first set of classes, for eg nursing history, anatomy and physiology etc.

i have just received the acceptance letter three days ago from the program but i was stuck with the mid-manhattan site. everything seems so rushed all of a sudden. the letterhead was dated july 9th and since i received the acceptance letter a few days ago they require us to fill out, fax over another application and forward the application to them via certified mail by july 30th. also does anyone have to pay the tuition fee? i have to pay them a week before classes start. as for the cpr cert, i've been checking www.nyredcross.org as well, they offer plenty of classes and fairly reasonable rates.

After missing the mark by the dreaded 2 points last year, I was determined to get into the program. I just faxed my acceptance letter back to them. The letter stated that on September 3rd in order to complete registration I need to have with me my drivers license or state ID, a money order for the sum of$1,140.00 and a copy of a current CPR card. The test wasn't easy. CNET offers study material and copies of previous exams. The more exams I took the better prepared for the test I got. It paid off. I am very proud to answer yes. I got accepted!

thank you FutureRNelizabeth! I live in bay ridge, brooklyn. I wanted to go for roosevelt island site but that quickly got filled up so i'll be attending the mid-manhattan site instead.

seanlpn: hey remember its money order only and sadly the maximum you can put on a money order is $1000. so I had to split up the amount meaning you have to pay a small fee for two money orders instead of one.

Hey I just spoke with Theresa Sheil who advised classes are filling up fast. Most applicants have already paid their fee and some people may have to split their classes between Brooklyn and Manhattan.

With regards to the CPR card the American Heart Association offers a BLS for Health Care Providers its about $80 I am working on getting that now. hey I got that info from the link you posted.

I was planning to hop on the D train and hope the trains will be running on schedule. I wouldn't want to be late for school lol

Good luck, hard work conquers all. From the info i have gathered from previous students the program is quite intensive, but if you put your minds into it you will succeed.
