Published

hi there.

this is my first time on this site and i was iust hoping for a little guidence please.

i have an interview for a teamleader, which also includes a 10 mins presentation.

i am a little nervous because i havent had an interview in 10 yrs (eeeek ).

the presentation subject is on Theatre Teamwork which will then be discussed.

i am going to give hand outs (NOT power point) and prompt cards (If needed), which is allowed for the interview.

please have you any suggestions for the presentation. i do have a tendency a whitter and i am aware to be structured, clear and concise.

im thinking Communication is the bigger here for discussion

  • staffing levels, skill mix, sickness, morale
  • patient safety, WHO surgical safety checklist, highlight problems during the WHO check
  • team leader to coordinate and communicate to the whole dept.
  • communicate with band 7 and to all staffing levels

i look forward to hearing your suggestions

thank you x

I do not know what you mean by band, and am assuming Theatre has to do with surgery. At any rate, I would concentrate on ONE topic, like effective communication. Who is responsbile for what, how do you say letters and numbers, are any shortcut forms used, are they part of medical record---Just keep it focused on one topic and you will get their attention. Remember, documentation is another form of communication. Pre-surgery and post surgery as well as intra-op.

Your terminology of "band" and "theatre" are indicative that you are a UK nurse, am I correct? There are several threads regarding band 6 interview presentations in the UK nursing forum in the World/International nursing section
