Looking to gain work experience in Scotland prior to starting a Nursing Degree

I am a mature student living in Scotland and looking to do a degree in nursing studies at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland.

In order to meet the criteria of the programme, I feel it would be beneficial o gain the appropriate experience by possibly carrying out volunteer work or if possible shadowing a nurse at one of the NHS practises in or around glasgow,

does anyone know how i go about acheiving this or if there are any programmes or trusts that may offer this opportunity?
