- Apr 1, '12 by babyRN.There are many discussions on this page on becoming eligible to work in the UK; firstly you have to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and secondly be able to secure a work visa or a spousal visa to a UK/EU citizen. Work visas are very hard to come by and the only folks on the shortage list right now are NICU and OR (theatre) RNs. Unless you have experience in those specialities, your chances are very slim.

Job prospect in Scotland is very low.
