by Nurserandy Nov 30, '12Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows about including foreign nursing experience in your banding level. I.e. if I have been a nurse for 7 years in Canada, do I have to start at the bottom of band 5 here?ThanksJ

- Dec 5, '12 by IainHello Nurserandy. The banding depends on what trust you apply to, in my trust Newcastle hospitals, you would start on lower band 5, £21,176pa, as you a a new entrant to the NHS, but if you go to a trust that needs staff, i.e. London or south east England, you might get put on mid point band 5, £25,525pa with London weighting, (extra money for working in London about £2000 pa), and in some trusts they can provide accommodation for price.
