Are you meaning skill competency? Like the novice nurse will follow the guidelines, etc? It's because they are new to it and haven't developed the ability to cluster all of the data together and to connect them. At least that's kinda how my book explained it. If you have the Jarvis physical assessment book, I suggest you looking in it. I suppose others would have it in there too. That's just what I have.

I obviously didn't read the above posts. Sorry! (ignore me, teaching back what I learned helps me get it to really stick. My poor husband has had to listen to more about interviewing etc than he has ever wanted to know!) I thought maybe you could of possibly meant this. Good luck!
