Want to become a nurse, starting from cna

Hi
i want to become a nurse. I heard that cna is a good start for that. I have no money to afford the college tutions.
I heard about the cna training program of CTK healthcare and career center(irivng,tx). I think they provide free training and with a employment contract. That means after completing the free training you will have to work for them for few months. I just want to know that if anybody here went to ctk for free training and sighned the contract for them?
How does this work? How long will be the training? how long i will have to work for them and for how much salary? Is it too low?
Please let me know.
Thanks
G.kaur

If this is a Texas company--you might try the Texas nursing forum and ask. Starting with a CNA is a good idea. Many states have programs that are rather inexpensive to take challenge prep courses. It may make it easier to get a job, too, once you finish nursing school, if you're already working in the facility as a CNA.
