Types of nursing diagnoses

The question is asking whether the following diagnosis is a risk diagnosis or not.
'Risk for imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements'
The answer is false and the rationale is that it is a potential diagnosis.

Why is this not a risk diagnosis? I'm so confused

because it doesn't exist (yet). according to nanda 2009-2011 (which no student or practicing rn should be without-- go get one stat at your favorite bookseller), there is no such nursing diagnosis. looks like a badly-worded trick question, or maybe just badly-worded.

domain 2, nutrition: there are (among others having to do c other issues of swallowing, fluids, infant feeding, jaundice...):
imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements (00002)
imbalanced nutrition: more than body requirements (00001)
risk for imbalanced nutrition: more than body requirements (00003)
