Tools you use for clinical

It helps to try to go in order. Granted you are kinda at the mercy of the nurse giving report, but still, my report sheets always started with neuro/head at the top of the page, and ended with peripheral stuff towards the bottom. Labs on one side, vitals on the other, meds/ special interventions on the very bottom. Always worked for me. Just fill in the blanks...

If I wasn't at work (posting here during breaks/lunch of course), I could send you a template for the one I used in school. I'll try to remember to add one later...

When I was in clinicals I could not function without my report sheets. One was for report and the other was an hourly breakdown of what I needed to get down. I still you it today and I have been a nurse for 3 years now.

I would love a template! I usually just jot stuff down and obviously it gets messy. When I'm at work (as a tech) I keep things pretty organized, but it's a whole new world with the info you're getting on the floor playing nurse. ;-) Thanks guys!

i dont go to clinical w/o my report sheet. it keeps everything organized and in order and keeps me from being scatterbrained and not forgetting to give meds or do v/s
