I'm done with the pre-req courses and get GPA 2.66 for anatomy, physiology and micro, I have 3.5 for my overall GPA. I study in CA, in my case, do I need to retake one of the sciences to improve my GPA? As far as I know, the community college will evaluate students by the pre-req and overall GPA, but I have no idea that which one is more important. My frineds told me that even if you retake one course and get A, the school will still calculate ur old GPA, they never use ur new GPA. I have no idea whether I should retake or not. I've already meet an ice, please help me, I don't wanner give up the hope of becoming R.N. Please help me!

It really just depends on your school that youre applying to. The one Im in is based off of 4 classes which are the A&P 1, A&P 2, English and Psych. For each A you get its 30 pts, B is 20 pts and C is 10 pts and if you get below that then it you just need to retake it. Then we had to take a TEAS test and that score is then added to your total grade pts. So basically, you need all A's and score in the 80's on the TEAS to get RN. I didn't have time to retake my classes so I had 2 B's and 2 A's which resulted in the LPN program but at least Im started. My advice is to retake the classes while you can. It's extremely competitive to get in and you don't want to waste a year sitting out because you didn't get accepted. Hope that helps!
