Question - Guthrie test

  1. 0 Hi, Im trying to find answers to a question about the Guthrie test (heel prick test) that is done after birth. Ive looked it up online but found conflicting answers.

    Does anyone know, how long after birth this test is performed (?48 hours) and what is the reasoning for the timing?

    We are happy to help with homework but we will not do it for you......I found a TON on Google. Remember as we give our thoughts....we are in the US and may have different tests and answers as well as required time frame that they need to be done as required by hospital/government policy.
