Have a sense of humor, able to laugh at self

Be Diplomatic and Tactful

Love People

Be willing and able to help others on your unit

But most of all to me is love what you do and do what you love

Strength of character. The ability to take a stand for what is right not what is easy or what the dr. or admin. wants to hear.

Be a strong patient advocate.

A good sense of humor.

And a lot of us put everyone's needs in front of our own. I wish we could all show the compassion and caring we show our pt.s to ourselves.
