Nursing prior to 1980?? Please assist me!!!!!

I'm currently a nursing student, and as an assignment I have to interview a nurse who became a nurse prior to 1980. I personally know some nurses, but none who worked before this time, nor have I been able to locate one in my local hospital (which is small). I can interview anyone. If you're able to assit me, do you mind answering the following questions. You would be SO much help to me.

• • Typical day/shift
  • Beginning and ending salary
  • Similarities and differences with contemporary nursing
