Nursing Fundamentals Question

  1. 0 Hi, I'm currently reviewing for my first exam in Fundamentals and one of the topics on my study guide says "proper documentation of vital signs (i.e. what are the abbreviations for temperature locations)." The only thing that I can find in my textbook about temperature location abbreviations is to record rectal temperatures as "R" and axillary temperatures as "AX." Are there any other abbreviations for the other temperature locations?

    Thanks!

    AU = Both Ear
    AS = Left Ear (S = Sinister = Left)
    AD = Right Ear

    Look at patterns. :-) S will always be left. U will always be both. D will always be right.
