Nursing diagnosis for postpartum coping/stress toleranceRegister Today!
- by YoungMom Sep 29, '10Before I cry for the third time today, I thought it would be best to ask my question.
I'm doing a care plan for a postpartum, c-sec delivery of twins mother. I was doing well until the coping stress tolerance section. None of the nursing diagnosis really fit with this woman. She is perfectly happy to be a new mother, has a very supportive family and significant other. Stress is a dx....but she does not seem stressed now. ARG!!!

She's in the taking in phase of the postpartum adjustment, so she's on cloud nine and all about the experience of the birth. Just because she's happy now doesn't mean she's not at risk for some altered happiness. I'm just sayin...
I hope this helps...good luck!
