Need help with a nursing term

    Ok i'm working on my care plan and i need to know if I should use Solar Lentigo as term to describe liver spots.

    any input will be appreciated.

    Uhm.....sure but how does it apply to your care plan?

    Definition: Solar lentigo is the medical term for freckle. A freckle is caused when the melanin-producing cell, or melanocyte, is damaged by UV radiation causing it to get bigger

    Mayo clinic defines them as Solar lentigo

    Medical dictionary describes them as: Liver spot: A pigmented flat spot on sun-exposed skin in older adults, especially on the back of the hands and on the forehead. Liver spots are benign. Medically called a senile lentigo
