im stuck..cant seem to find answers to three questions! human anatomy..

  1. My eyeballs are popping out bcus i cant find the answers in the book! Please help. Thanks in advance =) Mine is due on Friday afternoon.

    1) The substance which holds the neural retina against the pigmented layer is the _______.

    2) As sound vibrations hit the tympanic membrane, this causes vibration of the stapes, which transmit this vibration to the oval window. Here sound vibration is converted to _______ vibration within the cochlea.

    3) In some children the auditory tubes are shorter than normal and more horizontal, resulting in inflammation of the middle ear called _______. This inflammation results in the build-up of fluid within the middle ear cavity, putting pressure on the tympanic membrane.

my eyeballs are popping out bcus i cant find the answers in the book! please help. thanks in advance =) mine is due on friday afternoon.

    1) the substance which holds the neural retina against the pigmented layer is the _______. vitreous humor? i think this is the answer, but can't find anything in a book to support it. vitreous humor is responsible for causing the eye to hold its shape; it makes sense that it would exert pressure that would hold the neural retina to the pigmented layer. anyone else????

    2) as sound vibrations hit the tympanic membrane, this causes vibration of the stapes, which transmit this vibration to the oval window. here sound vibration is converted to _______ vibration within the cochlea. endolymph

    3) in some children the auditory tubes are shorter than normal and more horizontal, resulting in inflammation of the middle ear called _______. this inflammation results in the build-up of fluid within the middle ear cavity, putting pressure on the tympanic membrane. otitis media

i'm only certain about #3. look up endolymph and see if you agree on #2. i'm not at all sure about #1, but it was my gut instinct, and when i looked it up i didn't find anything else. but i also didn't find anything to confirm it, either.

    1) the substance which holds the neural retina against the pigmented layer is the ___vitreous humor____.

    2) as sound vibrations hit the tympanic membrane, this causes vibration of the stapes, which transmit this vibration to the oval window. here sound vibration is converted to ___wavelike____ vibration within the cochlea.

    3) in some children the auditory tubes are shorter than normal and more horizontal, resulting in inflammation of the middle ear called ____otitis media___. this inflammation results in the build-up of fluid within the middle ear cavity, putting pressure on the tympanic membrane.
