Care planning help

  1. 0 Patient is 83years old. Admitting diagnosis is: sepsis, pneumonia and dehydration and a stage 3 pressure ulcer. Past history include: CVA, right side weakness and paresthesia, myocardial infarction and PVD. vital signs are: BP 98/32, HR 88 and regular, RR 38 and laboured, T 38.1 C

    Can someone help me to identify this patients primary disease or condition?

    Can it be pneumonia?

    They already told you in the admitting information. It is sepsis. You can tell from the vital signs.

    hey daytonite, thanks for your reply. But i thought sepsis is secondary to pneumonia and therefore pneumonia will be the primary condition. Thanks again for clearing my doubts.
