Can't figure out which one

Nursing Students Student Assist

I was told we could download the app instead of the book for Davis's Drug Guide for nurses.

There are two apps in the app store. One labled Davis's Drug Guide for Nurses, and it's red. The other is just Davis's Drug Guide, but the image looks like the book cover.

The red one says the "seller" is the same publisher as on my required textbook list, but has bad reviews.

The one that looks like the book has a different "seller" but has excellent reviews, by nurses, none the less.

Now I'm all confused as to which one to get. But I want to get it this way because it will be easier, AND I have a gift card to the app store so it will make it free!

I just bought the newest edition and included is a year free of online access and updates... FYI...

I just bought the newest (book) addition also. The previous poster is right. If you buy the new edition (book), it does include a free year of online access. That being said, it you are buying one or the other.. Apps that is, I would buy the one that is "Davis Drug Guide 2013". The publisher of the app is Unbound Medicine which is a reputable app publisher, in my opinion. The picture for that app (blue) is the same as the cover of the most recent version of book, which is a good sign. Also has good reviews and the sample "pages" in the app store look similar to the actual book.

I see on my android there is one with a red icon and it is published by USBMIS. This one has the best reviews and to me looks the best from the pictures. As far as the graphics and and it looks user friendly. I also see the unbound and the skyscape. The Unbound looks much better than the Skyscape. I don't like how any Skyscape apps look.

I need a physical book so I want to buy the newest edition plus I like looking things up on the fly on my phone so I look foward to the year of online access. I wouldn't buy that soley as my connection can be unreliable.

I needed 3 pda books-davis drug guide, stedmans medical dictionary and taylor's clinical nursing skills. our school told us to use skyscape.com for all our resources. I have no complaints on the skyscape app besides the start up time. but once its up, its really good. I used it on a 2nd/3rd gen Ipod touch. wasnt going to pay for a smart phone and I could use it during clinicals w/o people thinking i'm on my phone

Thanks. I think I'll go with the first since you say the samples look like the book. If I just buy the app I can get it for free with my gift card. I am already over 1k in textbooks and that's buying most as ebooks or getting them free. I've only bought two new books so I am saving money where I can at this point.
