hi everyone,
i need to write an apa format style paper in "outline" form.... i have been searching google for 2 days , seriously i have spend hours and hours trying to figure this out. i know how to write the typical apa paper... but i am not sure about this outline apa style.... and being that nursing schools are ocd about all things apa... i am hoping there is someone here that knows what to do.
i have completed the actual interview and have all my notes... so i know what needs to be included... i just am stressing about...spacing.. titles subtitles, bullets,...how to format the interview portion... sn asked "blah blah," pt answered "blah blah" ect....
if anyone has a template or knows where i can find one i will be super excited and forever appreciative.
thanks for taking the time to look over this post.

- Mar 26, '12 by charethere is no apa outline format. this is something that you are going to have to clarify this with your professor to determine exactly what he or she is looking for. after i read this post, i referred to my apastyle manual (6th edition). the only section which mentions outline is section 3.11, strategies toimprove writing style, where outlining is mentioned as a writing strategy.
however, remembering that there are five levels of paragraph headings in apa style, you could use any five level outline style to draft your section headings. if you wanted to include main ideas you coulddo so by using non numbered paragraphs. i frequently use this method and have attached a copy of how i do this.
in addition to the style manual, the apastyle blog is another useful source, and they have a post addressing the outlineissue: apastyle blog: “my professor says...”.Last edit by chare on Mar 26, '12 : Reason: Correct formatting -
