Alcohol htn clarification

  1. Just to clarify, with alcohol consumption it initially decreases your blood pressure and then tachycardia occurs to compensate right? & then Once sobriety occurs, the rebound effect of increased hypertension occurs right?

    and this is why alcohol consumption is a risk factor for hypertension?
