Who has a Littmann in a lighter color?

Morning~

I have one of those 'special edition' pink breast cancer stethoscopes, and I'm sending the tubing to be replaced. The woman at 3M told me I could replace it with more pink if I choose. She said the tubing is a new batch, but she doesn't know yet it if will have the same issues (staining, black marks, etc).

So my question is, does anyone out there have a pastel Littmann like peach or seafoam green? Do all light colored Littmanns look dingy with minimal use?

I like the look of the pink, but was going to go with orange or purple or something so I don't have the same problem 6 months down the road. What you y'all think?

I also have a pink one (with tons of marks on it) and a light blue one. The blue doesn't have marks on it...at least not yet. However I've been using the pink once since it was a graduation present, I just used the blue one during nursing school.

I'm assuming they are charging you for the tubing replacement???

Hi Deb~

I called them this morning because I read on another thread that since the pink one had so many issues that they will replace it for free. However, in talking to the woman I learned (well she said) that you can get the tubing replaced for free as long as it's still under warranty, no matter what color you bought.

So I'm sending it in for free tubing replacement, I just can't decide if I want to go with the pink again and have the same issues or go with something darker.

If you want to replace your pink tubing, send it in with a note and let them know what color replacement you'd like. You don't even have to pay for them to ship it back to you

I have a Classic II S.E. in Ocean Blue (light blue). It has some yellow streaking from I guess being around my neck and some black marks. It isn't really that big of an issue but if you can replace the tubing without any extra cost and get a different color, I might consider that

Now when you bought your Littmann, did you have to send something in for it to be covered with a Warranty or when you send it in do you have to show when you bought it or something? The Classic II S.E.'s have a 3-year warranty and mine is about a year old.

I believe I sent in the warranty card, but I don't think that matters. When I called the lady was able to figure out when I bought it from the serial # etched on the bell. You can call (800-292-6298, opt. 8) just to be sure, they are very nice!

I just put it in a priority envelope with a note stating that I would like the color changed. I was a little nervous because there wasn't a form or anything...LOL I got it back with a letter telling me that my newly refurbished scope has a new 2-year warranty added to the balance of my existing one, and a little address sticker in case I need or want to send it back in.

The lady told me that you can send them in for tubing changes as many times as you like as long as they are under warranty.

even for just discoloration like the yellowish streaks and some black streaks that I have on my scope? Thank you so much for your reply! I love my ocean blue scope but the streaks are bothering me lol. I think I might opt for the dark purple color (I think it's called grape?)

The lady told me you can get the tubing changed just because you're tired of looking at it, so I'd go on and send it in! I almost went with the purple, but settled on the bright orange instead. I like the Raspberry, too!

I love the raspberry! I really like my ocean blue color but I'm just sick of the streaks. I'm torn between the grape and the raspberry lol. Again, thank you for your input!
