Should I get my Littmann Classic SE II Engraved?

...I already have the black plastic yoke tag that Littmann makes, and I sent the little aluminum tag off to have my name engraved. However, I'm a bit paranoid of it taking a hike and I know if a person REALLY wanted it, they could cut that tag off (yeah I know, paranoid, right? ). I was thinking of sending the steth off to stethoscope.com and having them laser engrave my name on the bell. It will cost ~$35, but do you think its worth it? I'm only a first year in nursing school, but I've heard these Littmanns last a while, and I could probably use it well into my career...I'd think the engraving would outlast the plastic yoke tag, although that's fairly thick as well.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi,

I was at a nursing show a while back and got talking to the guys on the medisave stand. They were showing off scopes and the engraving they do. Anyway, I had bought a scope off ebay and wanted my name engraved on it. I asked them nicely and they engraved it for me! I had to mail them the scope, they then engraved it and returned it to me. I don't know if they do it all the time, or if it was a one off (I did ask nicely!) but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try contacting them.

I spoke to a British guy, but I forget his name- I don't have their number, but you could try google?
