Yea ive emailed them and no reply at all grrr

wow that steeles website sounds good and they apparently ship to canada....too bad i didnt see that before i had bought the other one! Now the only problem is that I dont want to buy another stethoscope until i get my refund because what happens if i do and then my other one eventually gets shipped by this company? Then i'll be out almost 400$ AND have 2 of them! lol

heres to hoping that Visa wont take 4 months to resolve this...its already been 1 week since i've phoned them to report it.

Oh - and it says on their website that it was supposed to be shipped through FedEx ground shipping so Ive tried to contact fedex and all they have said was that they have no record of this transaction/package....so im hoping that if Visa cant get ahold of this company then they'll be quick in giving me my refund

I would also write to them. Their website lists:

Stethoscopes Plus. Inc,
7683 SE 27th Street, Suite 146,
Mercer Island, WA 98040

Any readers live in the area who'd like to stop by and advocate for your fellow nurse?

Just keep following up with Visa and you could email the company and let them know that you are reporting the matter. I go through Progressive Medical they are local for me but they are a big medical supply company in the EMS industry and carry alot of stuff. They have done package deals for my school. They have online ordering or you can call in -www.progressivemed.com

Good Luck

First, get a new credit card company. I have ALWAYS received immediate credit for unreceived purchases, and I am not charged for interest and that part of my potential credit line is restored until the merchant can prove they sent it and I received it.

Sorry that happened to you...but the credit card company you have is extremely important.

Yeah that too... and I'd also keep a VERY close eye on your statement. This isn't a debit card by any chance ?

I ordered an electronic stethoscope on June 18, 2007. They did not send one and after two weeks I inquired about the order. The gentleman told me that there was a mistake in the engraving and it was being redone. He told me it would be another week.

I waited two weeks to inquire again and have not been able to get in touch with the company. I always get their voice mail. I have left numerous messages asking them to call me and have never been contacted. I drove to their address on the receipt they emailed me and it was a UPS Store where they have a post office box. Because of privacy reasons I could not get any information on the company.

I have even asked to cancel the order and have not had any success in getting my money refunded. I have included the information below from the receipt they emailed me. The phone number I have for them is 866-783-8467.

Why would a "company" with a "warehouse" in a UPS store's mailbox ship via USPS and FedEx?

After reading the above, I think you should file a fraud report with VISA and have your card number changed.

I'd file a fraud complaint with these guys too

I live within 30 min of them. And I would have happily gone to bat for you however, I searched the UPS website for Mercer Island locations and it did come up with this exact address.
I would love to help you out so if you can think of anything I can do, let me know.
Good Luck!

I would be very surprised if you didnt get a charge back against the website.

The receipt you posted is not proof that it was shipped. The seller needs to show proof of delivery. (a tracking number)

Here's what you can do if you dont get your charge back.

Locate the county clerk's office in the county that the company is located. Listed with the county clerk should be a physical address for the company. A post office box at the UPS store is not supposed to be listed on a company's business certificate.

You might be able to do this via the county clerk's website.

After obtaining the physical address you can take the person listed as the owner of the business to small claims court. <if appropriate>

I wouldnt go to the address because it is most certainly the person's home address if he's using a UPS store mailbox as a business address.
