Prestige Clinical Cardiology or Littmann Classis SE II?


Are these any good? I'd like to spend around $100-$125. The reviews seem ok for

Prestige Clinical Cardiology Stethoscope and Labtron Adult Palm Aneroid Sphygmomanometer? (I think I like the idea of one tube.)

Or should I get

3M Littmann Classic II S.E. Stethoscopes and Omron Sphygmomanometer?

These are for nursing school.

Consider also the fine examples from DRG/Trimline (PureTone), Riester's cardiophon and the MDF range

I have a Classic II S.E. and I love it. It also comes with a 3-year warranty so it will take you through nursing school

Prestige and Littmann are both great stethoscopes with a great history. They really don't compare. The prestige scope you mention is a cardiology scope while the littmann is a general all around scope. Both are great quality and you wouldn't be disappointed with either. The BP cuffs really don't matter because they all work the same.

I absolutely despise the Prestige Medical Stethoscopes because I can't hear a gosh-darned thing through it. It's like hitting your head on a brick wall!

I just bought myself a 3M Littmann Master Cardiology scope and I am so excited to get it! I also have an Omron Syhygmomanometer that I purchased from my local med. supply and I love it. So, if you can't afford the Littmann Cardio, but you can hear well out of the Classic, go for that one. The Cardio Master is the best, IMHO. My aunt, cousin, grandmother and friend are all nurses and they have this and it! I just bought mine off eBay.
