brand of stethoscope?

I am starting my RN program this fall and wanted to get feedback on a stethoscope. Like everything, there are super cheap to quite expensive. How much should I spend? Is there a difference between brands? Is a mid-range ($) one of any brand probably fine? Anyone have a preference?
