Shoe ideas for men

I am starting in the Fall and need to get all black shoes.

Not sure what is best. An athletic shoe or more of a rubber sole shoe (nurse shoe or chef shoe type)?

Seems to me that athletic shoes do not have good traction on a wet or slick floor. I have heard of guys getting chef's shoes.

What options are there for guys?
