No sneakers, crocs, or clogs? Please help....

I am starting clinicals in the fall, and I just received the packet of everything I need to buy. The paper says buy nursing shoes....NO sneakers, crocs, or clogs. ALL of the 'shoes' I have seen look like they are either sneakers, or clogs, or crocs. I can't really understand which ones are considered just shoes. I am very confused, lol. Someone please help me if you understand the difference and let me know how to tell the difference. Thanx

I wear the Cherokee Optimum. I have them in brown, black, and white. They add about 2" to my height, are incredibly cushy, and my feet don't hurt after 12 hour shifts. They cost about $68 a pair.
