I have high arches and wear Nike Shox along w/ my orthotic inserts that my podiatrist gave me. If I wear those while I'm @ work, I can usually wear what I want the rest of the week w/o my feet giving me trouble.

I wear New Balance running shoes which are really light but probably not great for my arches.

I have high arches, too, so my heel pain was unbearable! Orthotics saved me! Just like Elvish, if I wear the orthotics for work, I can usually wear what I want the rest of the week. Just don't go to a commercial place for inserts, if you decide to get them...they wanted over $700. Go to a podiatrist. They are still a bit pricy, but insurance usually pays a chunk. I didn't pay a dime for mine.

Thanks y'all, I got a pair of Merrell's, encore moc pro. The arch is decent but I can remove the inserts easily and put in better ones if needed.
