Favorite compression/support socks?

by yousoldtheworld Premium Member

So, I have recently fallen in love with knee high light compression socks. I currently have some from Nursemates that I chose to try first, since they weren't as expensive, and I didn't want to spend a lot only to find that I didn't like them. Even at only 11mmHg, these have really improved my foot and leg fatigue by the end of my shift!

I have only two pair and I would really like to purchase a few more, but there are so many different brands and types that I don't even know where to begin!

So, if you wear compression or support socks, what ones are your favorites? I prefer the knee high variety, and at least SOMEWHAT affordable.

I would say that Sigvaris and Medvien are brands that make good lightweight compression stockings. They have several models that are fashionable, easy to put on and are good quality. In the Sigvaris brand, I would recommend either the Sheer Fashion or the Casual Cotton. They go by shoe size and come in a variety of colors. For the Mediven brand, I recommend the Sheer and Soft and the Motion Sport compression stockings. The Sheer and Soft is their newest model and it looks really good. The Motion sport comes in black and white and is perfect for wearing with tennis shoes. I recommend these brands because they have better durability than the cheaper brands. With these socks, you really get what you pay for. I wear them every single day and these brands never seem to wear out.
