Any suggestions for good shoes for bad feet (arthritis)

by iwanna

I am looking for a good shoe for my arthritic feet. I have a nodule on the one foot, and its hard to find a shoe wide enough for my left foot. I have been thinking of maybe getting it removed, but I am afraid that I will have more pain there. I really don't have pain where the nodule is. I suspect that is the same type of rheumatoid nodule that I had removed from my left elbow. And, now my elbow hurts more after having the surgery five years ago. So, I will just get the widest shoe that I can rather than have surgery. So, as far as pain, my nodule on my foot does not hurt, but more of a nuisance. But, I have other arthritic compalints of my feet. Some days they really hurt. Some days, it is the top of my ankles. I am just looking for a good shoe with a lot of cushioning and support for my feet. Price is not a factor. I want comfort and will pay for it.

Please, some suggestions.....

I swear by my standing comfort shoes....they are awesome and my feet usually never hurt, unless i've been REALLY busy all night.

I thought I was going to have to quit nursing until I found Birkenstocks. My doctor said I had a neuroma between my toes and the Birkenstocks allow my toes to spread out.My feet never hurt after working 12 hr shifts. Crocs are good too.
