advice ot break in shoes?

I have a new pair of black leather lace up shoes for work. I cannot break the dam things in. I have insoles in them, and a heel protector. I have tried two pairs of socks and alternating them with my old shoes but they just skin the side of my feet. I wore them aroudn the house for a while and they were fine though the hard floors of the hospital seem to cause issues. Any suggestions?
(that doesnt cost an arm and a leg?)

I wore mine around the house as much as possible while breaking them in. I also brought an extra pair of shoes to work with me. For some reason, my feet felt fine in the new shoes until I sat down. If it got too bad, I switched them out.

I don't think there's an easy way to do it, other than time. It took a good 2 weeks of constant wear before my shoes felt great.

If you find a quick fix, please let the rest of us know LOL

First, never purchase shoes for work that need to be broken in. If they are not quite comfortable from the moment that you put them on, you are only going to have issues with them and quite a few. There are so many different brands out there, that this should not be necessary.

And if they are skinning your feet, then they are not the correct size or fit for your foot. And they are not going to get better.

It is one thing to have to get used to a certain heel or something like that as far as height, but never if they are rubbing your feet from the first time that you put them on.
