I have a swiss army watch that has military time, a large watch face with a lrge second hand and also has a LED light I can use for Neuro Checks, better then any pen light I own and I am on my second one. The down side is the watch was discontinued and it can only be serviced at a swiss army authorized place and the batteries are expensive, but I bought the same watch off e-bay for 1/2 the price after my first one broke from all of the abuse it took over 3 years. My Aunt who is the one who bought it for me loved it, she is a ER RN, I got her the same exact watch for her b-day. WE love these watches as RN's and everyone always asks where they can get one.

I bought a fob watch off Ebay and pinned it to my lanyard. It's silver colored and has a place for enragving if I ever decide to have that done. I love it! Saves me from wearing a wristwatch which I always hated.

I use a Fossil as well. I used it for everyday wear and it works fine in the hospital when I am doing clinicals. It is waterproof and thee strap is leather, which I like.

It's tough trying to find a men's watch with alot of the features most nurses recommend, but I found it!!

-Plastic band

-Water resistant 165 ft

-Big numbers

-I think it has glow in the dark hands??

-Button to illuminate the numbers

I got this during a crazy sale at Kohl's for $13.00. Not bad for a budget watch!

We are not allowed to wear wrist watches so I have a fob watch made by Pulsar, glows in the dark which is handy on nights.

I just got a timex with an expandable metal band. I think I picked up the men's version as the dial is quite large but thats what I was looking for.

My school requires a watch with a second hand. Any suggestions?

Before I started clinicals, I wanted to get a watch that you can clip on to your pocket, but I ended up not getting one. I regularly wore a watch, but I didn't want that particular one to be worn for clinical.

As I was shopping for a watch, I ended up finding a cute nurse Minnie Mouse watch at Wal-Mart! It has a thin, white, synthetic leather band, and on the end of the second hand, there is a heart. :)

For now I actually don't wear it the whole day. If there is not a clock on the wall of the patient's room, I will put it on to do vital signs, but then I will put it back in my pocket until I need it again. That way I don't have to worry about anything getting on it.

I saw this watch at amazon. It is in my wishlist. Do you like it?

Luminox-glows in the dark (self light powered). Adopted by the U.S. Navy seals (super tough), I never take mine off even when using power tools (not in the ER). Rotating bezel (helps keep track of drips, or shot times).

That's really neat that Amazon.com sells it through WatchNThings - just went and searched for it!

I do like it. It's cute, and very fitting for the environment in which I wear it, of course. It is easy to wipe down each day (with Clorox wipes/alcohol) because the band is synthetic leather.

i really want a nurse mates watch, but i have a big wrist and i am afraid that it won't fit right. does anyone know what the typical band length is?
