I am looking to replace my bag and am wondering what types other people have? I want something big enough I can easily carry my clipboard, a book, and my lunch bag, preferably something with many pockets so I can keep my ever-growing collection of stuff organized and under control. Any recommendations?

I have a couple nice bags with lots of compartments, but the one I carry is a flimsy cloth thing that I like better because it squishes up nicely to fit in a cramped locker, plus it's lightweight. No pockets in this one, so I use the zipper baggies for organization instead ... which works for me since I can SEE what's where.

I have a cheapie I got at Wal -Mart ~ $10.00....its a beach bag.....4 pockets on the outside...zipper pouch on the inside.....lined with some type of plastic....thick cloth on the outside. Works great holds A LOT of stuff.

I bought a "boat and tote" bag from llbean. They are very durable, come in many colors and they can be as cheap as $17 depending on what size you want. My bag has doubled as a bookbag while in school as well. I have had my bag for over 4 years. I would highly recommend looking into it.

I actully bought a diaper bag, it's a knock off vera bradley, the name of the designer is MaggiB. It was so cheap, like $30 for the diaper bag and like $20 for the matching lunch bag. The matching lunch bag is silver lined insulated and has an over the shoulder strap, that can hold alot of food, but can be folded up b/c it had special velcro straps that make it compact and can be tucked into the diaperbag with out taking up any space.

I don't have kids yet, but I saw this bag and fell inlove with it. My mom said to me, "You realize that's a diaper bag right."

It has the 2 side pockets great for bottles of water or lotion. and has the messenger bag over flap. It's an over the shoulder bag. I can fit my knee brace, my clip board, a bunch of books and it had a TON of pockets. The matching lunch bag really does keep your food cold. It's soo cute.

Just look up MaggiB. and search through the different sites.

I found mine down in Maryland this past summer at this great store called the silver buckle. I even bought my aunt, who is also an R.N. a bag and lunch bag set, she loves it. I love mine!!

it is wonderful!! Tons of pockets and even fits my laptop. It's made of microfiber so it's

easy to clean.:yeah:

I have been using the Street Pro bag from Gall's (www.galls.com) When you go to the site, choose bags and organizers on the left. The one I use is made by Gall's and again is called the Street Pro.

It has helped me a great deal! Not too bulky in size but has all the possible room to carry all of you stuff. I bought my first one way back in 1997 and still have it today. I recently purchased a second one this past fall. Still the same great quality.

PS. I have been in contact with some of the higher ups at Galls about adding more nursing related items to their current inventory. Hopefully its a market that they will consider this year. I have relied on them for my fire/ems needs and would love to stay with them.

I purchased the vera bradley 'vera' tote. Its perfect!! I can fit an extra pair of scrubs, my stethoscope, cuff, pencil case, coffe mug, notebook sanitizer and even lunch bag. I love it! If you're looking for a larger bag the 'get carried away' works too, a pair of shoes will fit in that bag.

I use the organizing utility tote from Thirty-One. It's got pockets all around the outside, and the pockets on each end have elastic and can hold a water or drink bottle. It was only about $25 and comes in lots of cute patterns. They have embroidery too but it costs a little extra.
